The Art of an Artsy Superblock
In the vicinity of Tangerang’s own golden triangle, stand a super block development by Triniti Land called Collins Boulevard. Taken inspiration from Melbourne’s iconic Collins Street, this residential tower aimed to create “gallery you can live in” by integrating art into the everyday lives of the residents. Newman elevated this concept by adorning the development with a signage system that’s influenced by contemporary artworks, modern design, and an artsy approach that resulted in a blend of aesthetics and functionality.

Signage & Placemaking

Utilizing andesite stone with a solid black and textured stainless steel material, we created a signage system that draws inspiration from combining the dynamic side from contemporary art and the functionality side from the design spectrum. The single shaft shape is both neutral and functional, a helpful presence that subtly and unobtrusively help easier, smoother waywinding while also supporting its environment and allowing the surrounding spaces to breathe with effortless architectural dignity.
This visual language extends further into the interior signage, where the residents got the first-hand experience and interactions. Gold stainless steel detailing introduces another layer of luxury to the residential units, reflecting the refined character of the project.

Made specifically for this project, the iconography provides clarity while not sacrificing the artistic and design elements. This collaboration of design and functionality created a cohesive navigation and signage system that feels welcoming, guiding everyone and partaking in telling the story of Collins Boulevard as a place where art, design, and everyday life merge together.
